Look’s like Team Orange are having a January sale, and all indications seem to be that they’ve pulled out of the D1 Usa series, could this be the end for D1 stateside? Kumakubo look’s to be driving the new Evo X this year, i’ll take the GDB though.
Suenaga’s £ 35,348.25
Kumakubo’s GDB £ 75,746
Tanaka’s £ 50,497
Ice racing has always been one of those great spectacles that makes the winter off season worthwhile it used to be on Eurosport but i’ve not seen it this year anyway! these cars are usually spaceframed running on skinny ice tyres with four wheel steering. The lock and steering angle on these machines would leave some of the D1 drifters in awe.
In the past few years winters haven’t been as strong so on occasion events have been cancelled but its a great spectacle
The EVO X looks great in yellow here is Jun’s example at the Tokyo Auto Salon pictures courtesy of Zerotohundred.com who have some fantastic TAS coverage. Hopefully tommorow i’ll get too inspect the Evo X closer at Autosport international
Suzuki have recently completed a pre Monte Carlo test in the SX4 and I believe the first time the SX4 has run on snow the drivers seem confident that the platforms good but we’ll have to wait and see how the season pads out. Fairly depressing the off season bring on the end of the month.
So you’ve just imported Kazama’s D1GP S15 but it’s a little cold outside why wait till summer? take it ice driving instead
