Due to various reason’s I didn’t catch much of the opening round of our domestic time attack series but a number of the pro class cars aren’t finished yet. In a field dominated by Evo’s and Impreza’s a high powered GTR might just do the trick

While the new Evo X looks hard, performance wise it seems softer than the version 9 it replaces the MR was always the daddy of the Evo range.Announced by best car magazine in Japan every indication is this is the new MR. With extra torque and circa 300hp the SST gearbox is uprated to cope with the increased power.
I’d expect Mitsubishi UK to extra even more before a UK market release, fingers crossed for an FQ400 (Minus the turbo lag)

The 2008 Time Attack season kicks off on Saturday at Donnington Park with a varied range of cars entered the Evo is once again the weopon of choice for competitors. Not so keen on the APR aero but its a step forward as are the other entries for this year, just a shame that quite a few of the builds haven’t been completed in time.
