The Colt guys have been swapping ends with big brother Evo for years now, usually the 4th,5th gen front ends. The similarity in sizing and shape means with a little work and patience you can switch ends. Engine swaps from the Lancer Evo are popular, this one in particular uses the 4sg3 and the front end from the Evo 8.

My brother has always run Buddyclub P1-Sf’s on his Civics, but i’ve always bemoaned the lack of decent fitments suitable for the Suzuki Swift.

For 2010 i’ve decided to get my first set of aftermarket wheels, a casual browse on Buddyclub UK’s website and low and behold Buddyclub have a new wheel out! i’m gonna check out the pricing soon for a set in 17×7.5 and likely a 43 offset.

By no means Hellaflush but a much better fitament than my standard 17×6′s i’m all about the performance.

This is hands down the most modified Swift in Japan and still using relatively stock internals. Shunning the usual supercharged option Top Fuel have opted for a turbocharger, engine internals remain stock with upgraded clutch and gearbox components.

Externally the front end is dominated by a TM Square front bumper with integrated canards. Top Fuel have a target of 400hp which is pretty insane for the ZC chassis, the inbuilt rigidity of the stock bodyshell and relative high spec of the standard components is evident.

With the 2010 Time Attack season kicking off next month in the UK. All the guys are laying their cards on the table. With RCM retiring last years championship winning car it could be anyone’s game this year.

Renowned Evo tuner Simon Norris could be a suprise with 950 on tap. Controlling that power could be the issue but the aero setup looks better than the RCM car.

For 2010 the Voltex front bumper has been replaced by a custom piece.

RCM motorsport have nothing left to prove winning three straight Time Attack championships in a row. The original “Gobstopper” the 850hp WRC shelled GC Impreza has been retired. Rumors circulate that RCM are to build a Gobstopper 2.

If so game over.

Sad news today Ralliart Mitsubishi’s in house tuning arm is to close its doors. Since its creation in 1984 Ralliart has gone on to great success both within the WRC and the Dakar with continued success at both national and international level.

But with the economic downturn Mitsubishi we’re one of the hardest hit. The press release states:

Along with the scale down of our business activities this time, we would cease the following business and operation which we have done so far. We would like to express our sincere apology to all of customers though we would make you much inconveniences.

Meanwhile, we wish you a continuous support to Ralliart family and entrants driving Mitsubishi cars who play an active part all over the world.

I love the FN2 Honda Civic Type R, recently released in Japan Spoon is already on it. I’d take this over the sedan any day.
